Withernwick - St Alban
Roof repairs
This is an attractive Victorian church on an earlier site, built of cobble with long sweeps of Burlington slate roofs. The roofs were in a very poorly state and the parish was successful in applying for a Roof Repair Grant towards the repaiurs. With such a large project, insufficent funds and time pressures from the grant as well as bats, we had to omit providing new gutters but one day soon hpefully. Approximately 40% of the original slates were salvagable.
